Today was the last time I will ever witness a day where all 3 numbers of the day were the same...
The last week has been incredibly stressful, we moved out over the weekend....unfortunately the buyers have mucked us around and it still hasn't bloody exchanged/completed grrrr....
I cannot wait until this is all bloody over and we can move on with our lives...
I promise there will be a better post asap and I will be christmassy xx

Crafty Things
Chocolate and Guinness cupcakes |
Happy Happy Happy |
I made these chocolate and guinness cakes recently and they went down a storm.I got the recipe from this blogging lady.
Finished product |
Fancy a pint? |
The recipe is as follows:
ngredients
For the cupcakes
250ml Guinness
250g unsalted butter, cut into pieces
75g cocoa
400g caster sugar
142ml sour cream
2 eggs
1 tbsp vanilla extract
275g plain flour
2 ½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
For the topping
300g Philadelphia cream cheese
150g icing sugar
125ml double or whipping cream
Preheat the oven to gas mark 4/180˚C/fan oven 160˚C. Line 2 muffin tins with muffin paper cases.
Start by pouring the Guinness into a large, wide saucepan and add the butter; heat until the butter's melted, at which time you should whisk in the cocoa and sugar. Beat the sour cream with eggs and vanilla and then pour in the pan of brown, buttery, beer and finally whisk in the flour and bicarbonate of soda.
Pour the batter into the muffin cases ¾ of the way up and bake for 18 to 20 minutes. Leave to cool in the tins for 20 minutes and then cool completely on a cooling rack.
When the cupcakes are cold get on with the icing. Lightly whip the cream cheese until smooth, sieve over the icing sugar and then beat them both together. Add the cream and beat again until it makes a spreadable consistency.
I also have had my hand at making lavender pieces which look super cute...
Lavender hearts and sachets with super cute heart details.....
My other half's Mum's cake.....................

Triple performing facial emulsion with Spf 15- review
As you saw from my last post I went to the Benefit counter to have one of their make overs....
Now, I would only recommend going, if like me you were after a couple of bits or you had purchased bits and you wanted to know how they worked...DO NOT GO if you don't need anything... not only will you feel pressured to buy (my Benefits lady was lovely and did not oversell but still..) and secondly even if your not sold to, you're going to want to buy it anyway!!!!!
I was after a new moisturiser and after researching a few, I felt this one sounded like a good option....
It is described as an emulsion as it is non oily, however it is meant to be hydrating. I suffer with sensitive, combination skin and I struggle to find a moisturiser that makes my skin moisturised yet not over greasy As you can see it comes in a pretty bottle, which looks cute (I know that's not a big thing...but it kinda helps!)
I like the fact it comes with a pump top so it doesn't all squeeze out, the benefit lady reckoned 3 pumps a go!
Overall I think the moisturiser is really good on my skin and a great base for make up, however at £19.50 it is pretty pricey, lets see how well it lasts!

A makeover Saturday
Last Saturday I had a rather nice day of having my hair, makeup and legs waxed?!
I went to my favourite hairdressers, Buzby and Blue and went to the Benefit lady for a makeover...it was beautiful and very relaxing.
The dress is from Topshop tall last year and the Bob makes me happy. Saturday we went out for dinner and drinks in Chichester was lush.

I hope it will be an Indian summer but.....
I can feel it getting a bit chillier. The nights are getting dark before 9pm and we have had to put the duvet back on our back to stop it being fereezing in the morning. Although I adore the sunshine, I always get the "back to school" feeling come the first of September.....It's always disappointing to not go and get a new pencil case....:'-(
However I can start thinking about my Autumn wardrobe and buying a snuggly coat and boots......
As I've said in previous posts I'm nearly 5"10 so when it comes to clothes , the tall range is my best friend. I've been really disappointed that Newlook have really cut back on their tall range so now I'm even more limited, however it makes it all the more rewarding when I do find something that fits well!
I am seriously loving Topshop at the moment....
I love the bottle green of this cardi and there's nothing better than curling up with a boyfriend cardi sand a cuppa tea...
When I first looked at these boots I was horrified...but after going past them on a regular basis I kept loving them a little bit more each time, I think they'd look fab with leggings/tights/trousers
We shall see if I'm brave enough......
When I saw that Topshop had FINALLY made this duffel coat in the tall range I nearly cried.....I have wanted one of these for absolutely ages, this is what September wages are going on!!!
This will be lovely for work with a pencil skirt and heels or with a pair of peg leg trousers and a blazer
I have these already and they are really thick and comfy, however I managed to get a big hole in them via my washing machine so I am deffo going to invest in another pair this year
This is just simply lush...............................
Have you been looking at autumnal pieces or are you holding onto the summer?????

PYO and yummy treats
What a lovely weekend, we went to the PYOon Saturday and picked blackcurrants, raspberries, a cauliflower, onions and carrots......was so much fun!!
On Saturday night I made blackcurrant and raspberry jam and a ribena cheesecake and if I say so myself it was delish!!
On the Sunday we went to walk my Uncle's dog and on the way back stopped at a lovely chocolate cafe. My BF had an ice cream float and I had a coffee and a chocolate icecream. It was lovely and really relaxing to chill. It was really cute becaue the icecream was prepared in an old icecream van......so if you're ever in Petworth deffo visit!!

What a difference 5 months make
I can't believe I abandoned my Blog again..........
To be fair it's been absolutely mad. 5 months ago we were in the house (trying to sell), I was a law school and stuck working at Clarks......
Well we are STILL trying to sell the house..........but that is the only thing that is the same.
I finished law school in June and recently received a DISTINCTION....I was so chuffed after spending 2 years working my ass off, especially after losing Mum mid way through my first year. I feel really good coming through to the other side and I'm looking forward to my (hopefully) sucessful career.
I am now working in the dizzy heights of canary wharf (In one canada square...yes the one with the pyramid) as a paralegal. I'm really enjoying using my degree and learning on the job. I am currently looking for the elusive training contract......
Having a full time city job means that I have a slightly higher budget so have been splashing out at Topshop a little bit.
Here's what else I've been up to..............
Harry Potter studio tour was amazing and I thoroughly recommend a visit..............
